Theatrical and educational project of the Puppet Theatre in at the Crossroads, Citizens‘ initiative Rázcestie and selected elementary schools in Banská Bystrica and Hriňová. It was created to celebrate the Year of Slovak Theatre 2020.

The project THEATRE + SCHOOL = 2020 follows on from the long-term activities of the theatre in the field of work with schools, e.g. the Theatre Mill project in cooperation with Sitnianska Elementary School (1993 – 1997), SofiART realized with the Trieda SNP 20
Elementary (2010-2011), creative studios DramaKlub and Creative Writing for children and youth, which have been running at BDNR continuously since 2010, and many others.
The project aims to:

• establish close contact between students and art;
• highlight positive human values ​​through aesthetic influences;
• develop the child’s artistic potential;
• incorporate stimuli from theatrical performances and other common activities directly into the teaching process and extracurricular activities;
• put on regular performance with productions suitable for classrooms in schools;
• create the one-act theatrical play Slov(actually);
• regular visit to selected theatre performances at BDNR.

Since January 2020, through theatrical and para-theatrical activities, we have been trying to reach and stimulate pupils in these schools:
