COOPERATIVE PROJECT OF THE THEATRE, GALLERY AND PRIVATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL TRIEDA SNP 20 IN BANSKÁ BYSTRICA.

More than 800 pupils are involved in the program in which they regularly attend theatre performances during the school year. At the same time, the actors and actresses of the theatre attend selected Slovak language classes and read plays and fairytales that the children will see in the theatre.

In the 2010/2011 theatre season, several joint events between the school and the theatre took place:
The naming of first-year students, St. Nicholas visit, reading in Slovak language classes for younger and older pupils (Little Red Riding Hood, The Princess and the Pea, Tales of a Dog and a Cat, ballads from the production (Za)paráčky, etc.), visit to the listed performances in the theatre, participation in the children’s jury at the festival, painting butterflies for the international festival Bábkarská Bystrica 2010, exhibition of the children’s butterflies in the Central Slovak Gallery during the festival, and a joint happening of children and theatre actors at the festival.
