Fairytale geography

A cycle of non-European fairy tales for children from three years of age. As part of the project, three productions were created: Indian, African and Jewish fairytales.

Fairytale Geography brings to life the fairytale stories of (un)known world cultures. Through art, music, and literary symbols, children meet the heroes and heroines of foreign fairytales and get to know an environment different from ours. Through the theatre, they encounter the phenomenon of other peoples and nationalities in a different way than is normally presented in the media.
The goal of Fairytale Geography is not only to present an (un)known culture, but also to point out its similarities with Slovak culture. The message of the project is the knowledge that stories and their bearers – people – are the same everywhere under the sun.
