Marianna Mackurová

Graduate of VŠMU in Bratislava. She has been a member of the BDNR ensemble since
1994.

She has worked at Studio T.W.I.G.A. She performed at the DJZ in Prešov and the Municipal Theatre in Žilina. She guest stars at the State Opera House in Banská Bystrica and cooperates with Slovak Radio. In 2003, she won the Award for Female Performance at the Kopřiva Festival in Kopřinice for her portrayal of the main character Anna in the production Don’t Cry, Anna. In 2005, she won the Literary Fund Award for her performance as a baroness in The Strange Afternoon Dr. Zvonek Burke and for her acting accomplishments in the 2004/2005 season. In 2011, she received the Literary Fund prize for a performance by an actress in the productions Variations of Love and Metamorphosis. In 2023, she was awarded the Literary Fund premium in the field of theatre for her performance as Zrelica in Michaela Zakuťanská’s production Fair Helena?, directed by Zoja Zupková, also taking into account her roles in the children’s productions The Great Journey and The Little Jellyfish in sign language.
