She worked at Studio T.W.I.G.A. She leads the Children’s Drama Club at BDNR. She holds holder of several premiums and prizes from the Literary Fund for her acting performances in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012-2015, 2018. For her acting performance in the children’s production of Anička Ružička and Tonko Modrinka in 2007, she won the Prize of the International Festival of Puppet Soloists in 2007 in Lodz, Poland. In 2019, she received the prestigious Annual Literary Fund Award for her performance as Amália in the production Amália Breathes Deeply. At the International Festival of Puppet Theaters “Klasyka Od-Nowa” in 2023 in Będzin, Poland, Mária Šamajová was awarded a prize in the category “Acting Creation” for the animation in the production The Little Hen Who Wouldn’t Give Up. This award was given by ZASP, the Union of Polish Stage Artists, Puppet Theatre division.
