Bábkarská Bystrica 2022

The 23rd edition of the International festival of contemporary puppet theatre for children and adults Bábkarská Bystrica is scheduled to take place from 26th September to 2nd October 2022. We are already working hard to get everything ready, and hope the pandemic will still allow us to execute our vision. During the festival, various paratheatrical activities will take place, including workshops, discussions, and the professional conference Educating through Theatre, which is primarily concerned with connecting theatre to the teaching of aesthetics and sociology. Other activities include exhibitions and street events. TOUR performances and the performance of theatre outside the theatre itself have become an integral part of the festival in which both hosting and international companies participate. We have extended an invitation to the festival to companies from Denmark, France, Germany, Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, as well as domestic companies, all of which will offer uniquie experiences to visitors and alongside us, will create the unforgettable atmosphere at Bábkarska Bystrica 2022.
